Parker Brothers (known simply as Parker outside North America) was an American toy and game manufacturer founded in 1883. Over the course of more than a century, the company published more than 1,800 games, becoming one of the world's most recognized names in family entertainment. In 1991, Parker Brothers became a brand of Hasbro following its acquisition, and its legacy continues through many classic board games and its influential contributions to the early home video game industry.

Parker Brothers entered the video game industry in 1982, expanding beyond its traditional board game business by publishing titles for home consoles such as the Atari 2600, Intellivision, and ColecoVision, as well as several home computer platforms. Rather than adapting its own board games, the company focused on securing licenses for popular arcade games and movie franchises. This strategy resulted in a successful lineup that included classics such as Frogger, Qbert*, Popeye, and the first officially licensed Star Wars video game, Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. Parker Brothers quickly established itself as one of the leading third-party video game publishers of the early 1980s.
